First Look: Chris Brown Stars In 2013′s B-Boy Film, Battle Of The Year
Chris Brown has made no secret that, like his idol Michael Jackson, he wants to be known for his stellar dance moves in addition to his smooth R&B vocals. So, it’s no surprise that the crooner is following supporting roles in Think Like A Man and The Takers with a starring role in the upcoming dance film, Battle of the Year.
The Screen Gems film, directed by Benson Lee (Planet B-Boy), follows “an all-star American b-boy crew training to compete in France at the Battle of the Year (BOTY) International Championships. After a decade of defeat, the crew and their coach (LOST‘s sexy resident bad boy Josh Holloway), must go up against the best and greatest b-boys in the world: the Koreans, the Russians, and the French who have dominated the original American dance form for the last 10 years.”
Like most break-dancing films, get ready for some teen angst, unhealthy competition, sick rivalries, and, of course, dope head stands. Watch the extended trailer below for Battle of the Year, set to hit theaters January 25, 2013. Will you be watching?
