Usher’s Stepson Laid To Rest

A week after being removed from life support, Kile Glover, the stepson of R&B superstar Usher Raymond, was laid to rest on Friday afternoon following a service held at an Atlanta area church.
The 11-year-old was critically injured and later declared brain dead as a result of being struck by a jet ski driven by a family friend earlier this month. Kile was riding on an inner tube on Atlanta’s Lake Lanier with a 15-year-old girl when the tragic accident occurred. According to reports, alcohol was not involved and both young people were wearing life jackets.
Kile’s mother and Usher’s estranged wife, Tameka Foster, has announced a fund created in Kile’s honor with the proceeds going to increasing water safety. She tweeted:
“I appreciate the hundreds, perhaps thousands of prayers. I’m so grateful to you guys. Kile was the most fun, creative, sweet, respectful boy. Many have asked where to send flowers, but in Lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a contribution to the Kile Glover Fund @ Bank of America. Our goal to to increase water safety- thru implementing laws, policies & education. Kiles passing will not be in vain, we will see to this. Sorry, I gave half info Bank of America Acct # 3340 3823 9828 OR via PayPal email [email protected] … I love you guys.”
Our prayers and condolences go out to Tameka, Usher, Kile’s father Ryan Glover, and their families.
