How Ridiculous Are These Nike Air Jordan I Roller Skates?

You can buy a lot of weird stuff on eBay. Need a toaster oven that doubles as an alarm clock? There’s a good chance that you can find it somewhere on eBay. Or, how about a coffee table that was handmade back in 1873? Yep, that’s probably on there somewhere, too. And, if you’re a video game aficionado, you can basically buy every single Nintendo game, well, ever at one time on eBay. The 6-year-old trapped inside of you is thrilled! But, when it comes to ridiculous sneakers, eBay ups the ante. They’ve got fakes, “real” fakes, really, really fakes, and then they’ve got stuff that blows our minds.

As far as we can tell, Nike never released an Air Jordan “roller skate.” But, recently, someone put a pair of Nike Air Jordan I Roller Skates that they made themselves up on eBay (Complex spotted them first). The size 6.5 OG sneakers are the original Air Jordan Is that were sold back in 1985 and they’re actually in pretty decent shape—save for the wear around the ankles and the normal wear and tear elsewhere on the sneakers. The fact that they were converted into roller skates may have actually helped their cause, as you don’t see a ton of wear around the toe boxes or on the bottom of the sneakers. But, yo: WTF would you do with these even if you had the money to buy them?!

Our best guess is that, if you have a sneaker shop or something, you’d display them. Or, if you were “blessed” with tiny feet, maybe you’d wear them to the park or something and have some fun for a few hours. But, realistically, these are good for one thing and one thing only: To look at on eBay. Otherwise, we’re not sure what you would want them for. They’re, quite simply, ridiculous.

Would you buy them?
