Bollywood Actress Sherlyn Chopra Becomes The First Nude Indian Playboy Covergirl
Sherlyn Chopra has gone where no Bollywood actress has gone before. The 28-year-old is the first Indian actress to pose nude for the cover of Playboy.
Unlike most models that go through an exhaustive round of auditions and test shoots to even be considered for the iconic men’s magazine, Chopra simply wrote a letter to Hugh Hefner explaining why she would be the perfect candidate for his publication. The staff wrote her back accepting her request within a week.
Scheduled to hit newsstands in November, the history-making cover is, of course, creating controversy in India where women’s bodies are so sacred they are covered with burkas. “At a time when innocent women across the nation from Gujarat to Guwahati have been subjected to sexual abuse and humiliation, one wonders if Sherlyn Chopra’s pictures wound a woman’s integrity,” wrote Indian columnist Gayatri Sankar.
After their meeting, the actress couldn’t help but sing the praises of her new boss Hugh Hefner. “I had fun meeting him and his girlfriends,” she said. “I am thinking of making him my idol because he lives his life on his terms and conditions. I also live my life on my terms and conditions.”
She also took to Twitter to call Hef the “most compassionate men on planet Earth.” And, now that she has posed nude, Chopra is reportedly thinking of making the jump into nude films. “The youth is racing towards liberalization,” she said, “and that’s why being unconventional in your choices is no longer a taboo.”

Danica should be aware about the states where humilation and sexual abuse of women is most. Gujarat is the safest place for women in India…better not to just make fancy statements like Gujarat to Guwahati.
she isnt even bollywood
its like kim kardashian claiming to be a grammy award winning pop star
Thanks for the comment Rashmin. But please note I was not the one saying the “fancy statement like Gujarat to Guwahati.” I quoted Indian columnist Gayatri Sankar.
