Are you thinking of getting a new cell phone? What if we told you that you could take your old cell phone and sell it for up to $300? Would you be interested? Of course you would. After all, what else are you going to do with it? Throw it into the junk drawer in your kitchen or give it to your 2-year-old to play with? Forget that! Instead, how about selling it and using the money to pay for a new phone?

Right now, Samsung is running a new program that allows you to do just that. Here’s how it works: Just visit the Samsung Mobile USA Facebook page. Once you’re there, you’ll be able to fill out a form indicating the type of phone you have, what kind of condition it’s in, etc. Samsung will then make you an offer for your phone and, if you’re interested, all you have to do is purchase a new Samsung phone and they’ll give you a discount on it based on whatever they’re willing to give you for your phone. It’s that simple. And, once you’re finished, all you need to do is mail your old phone in within 30 days to avoid getting charged more for your phone.

Of course, the one downside to this deal is that you have to get a Samsung phone when you apply to sell Samsung your old phone. But, your old phone doesn’t have to be a Samsung to complete the deal, which is good, and it’s also good because Samsung has a pretty diesel lineup of cell phones available right now. So, if you’re in the market for a new phone and you want to sell your old one, this is the deal for you. It sure beats adding your old phone to that growing collection of dated cell phones you’ve assembled, right? Step into 2012 and get with the program.
