First Photos From The Set Of Arrested Development, Season 4
It’s really happening, it’s really happening! A new season of Arrested Development was confirmed months ago, but fans of the cult hit series have been burned by false promises before. But as shooting for season four officially began this week, the first photos leaked from the set of what appears to be an airport, showing some familiar and some new faces:
Above: Jason Bateman as Michael Bluth, wearing a University of Phoenix t-shirt underneath his button down. Has Michael been taking online classes since we last saw him?
Portia Di Rossi (Lindsay Bluth Funke) and David Cross (Tobias Funke). Tobias is clearly being never-nude.
Twitter also featured some photos featuring the cast of Comedy Central’s Workaholics on the set, apparently making a cameo.
Hard evidence of the new season began streaming in last month, when Bateman and producer Ron Howard began tweeting photos of scripts, writer’s rooms, and series creator Mitchell Hurwitz.
Arrested Development was canceled back in 2006 after three seasons. The season will feature ten new episodes, and is being streamed by Netflix. Hurwitz originally announced that each episode would center on a single character, leading up to a full length motion picture. However, no news of the movie has come out since.
The new season is slated for release in early 2013.
