Pooch Hall Gets Back In The Game
Fans of The Game, many of whom have not been happy with the direction the show since BET acquired the rights, were even more pissed off when they heard that Pooch Hall and Tia Mowry (the on screen couple known as Derwin and Melanie) would not be returning for season six. Just how could the show go on without its two stars? Well, BET sprung to action and cast Lauren London and Jay Ellis in an effort to mask the gaping hole left by Hall and Mowry. However, it appears that one of the thought-to-be-departed stars is on his way back. Hall tweeted:
“Its official… who said Pooch wont be back on @TheGameBET I will send pics from the set to Prove it, in the fall. Love u guys…”
Yup, Pooch Hall will be returning to The Game after all. Hall was expecting to be unable to continue with the series after Showtime tabbed him for a role in the new series Ray Donovan. Due to the new show’s shooting schedule, Hall would have been unable to shoot both shows. But Showtime’s shooting schedule changed and allowed Hall to reprise his role as Derwin.
However, the way Season 5 ended made it seem that both characters would be leaving the show. And with Tia Mowry certainly not coming back, how exactly will BET continue? It’s going to have to be something creative that makes sense, or else those upset fans won’t be getting any happier.
I am so glad I really like him and the show just wouldn’t be the same without him!! Looking forward to what season 6 has to offer.
