At this point, you can really put just about anything on a pair of sneakers. Well, okay, you can’t do it. You’re not equipped to customize sneakers. But, sneaker customizers like Mache are and they’re cranking out tons and tons (and tons!) of cool custom sneakers right now. The Nike LeBron 9 has been one of the more popular pairs for customizers and we’ve seen a number of different designs put onto the sides of them. Some are just cool colorways, while others are designed to pay homage to different things that are going on in the world.

The ones you see here—which we spotted over at Nice Kicks—look like something that Bruce Wayne would wear on his off day. That’s because these particular LeBron 9s were designed with a “Dark Knight” customization that sees several different Batman-inspired logos and colors placed on the LeBron 9. They’re made to pay homage to the biggest and most popular blockbuster of the summer season (even if it does still conjure up some terrifying images of the shooting that took place in Colorado). And, we have to say, of all the LeBron 9 customs that we’ve seen out there in the world, this one is undoubtedly one of our favorites. They’re a must-have for any fan of The Dark Knight or any of the other Batman movies and the colorway is pretty awesome, too.

Are you interested? If so, Mache sells sneakers like this through his site. And while they’re definitely going to cost you a pretty penny and you’ll need to hold off for a few weeks while they’re made specifically for you, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be the only one in your town with a pair of LeBron 9s that look anything remotely like this. Check out his site to see more photos featuring his work. We promise, the “Dark Knight” custom is only the beginning.
