LeBron James Debuts The Nike LeBron X
They’re heeeeeeere! After months of speculation about exactly what they would look like, LeBron James wore his Nike LeBron X for the very first time on the basketball court. And, he looked great doing it, leading the U.S. men’s basketball team to a 107-100 victory over Spain in the gold medal game at the 2012 Summer Olympics. So, how do they look?
Well, in a word, every bit as awesome as we hoped they would. To be honest, Nike didn’t stray too far from what they did with both the Nike LeBron 8 and the Nike LeBron 9, which is something that some sneakerheads out there might complain about. But, we’d make the argument that Nike just went with what’s been working with LeBron’s signature sneakers in recent years. The LeBron X features a Hyperfuse construction and a Zoom Max cushioning system as well as plenty of opportunities for Nike to release these in a variety of different colorways, like they have in the past for the LeBron 8 and LeBron 9. Nike will really get a chance to celebrate LeBron’s tenth year in the sneaker game in a really big way over the course of the next year.
Take a closer look at the LeBron X below and then let us know what you think about them. Are they every bit as awesome as you were expecting them to be? Or, do you wish Nike had pushed the boundaries a little bit further and come up with something truly unique for Bron-Bron’s tenth sneaker? Either way, you can be sure that these sneakers will be everywhere in the months to come in a ton of different colorways. Start stacking your bread right now. Because, if the red, white, and blue colorway pictured here in any indication, you might have ten pairs of the LeBron X before it’s all said and done.
