NBA 2K13 Pits The 1992 Dream Team Against The 2012 Olympic Team
When NBA 2K11 brought in Michael Jordan, we thought that basketball video games hit the holy grail. Then, NBA 2K12 took it a step further by bringing even more legends into the fold. So we were all left to wonder just what NBA 2K13 would have in store for us. At first, it was the announcement that Jay-Z would be executive producing the game and overlooking the soundtrack. That sounds really great and all, but it’s not really a part of the actual nuts and bolts that keep us coming back to 2K Sports.
Now we have our reason.
After the debate was sparked by Kobe Bryant a few weeks back when he suggested that the 2012 Olympic Team could have beaten the 1992 Dream Team, 2K kicked into high gear with an innovative idea that would help us decide who was the better Olympic team in a virtual setting. That’s right, NBA 2K13 will allow gamers to take the 1992 Dream Team and have them face the 2012 Olympic squad. Well, almost the entire Dream Team. Unfortunately, due to some lousy licensing situation, Scottie Pippen won’t be featured in the game. Nevertheless, you have to see the legendary Dream Team in the game.
NBA 2K13 will hit stores on October 2nd.
