Kim Kardashian Compares Reality TV To Rap Music
Kim Kardashian‘s confidence has risen over the years and now the reality starlet believes she’s worthy of her own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
“I think there was a quote where somebody said that reality stars will never get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Kim told V Magazine in a voice that, according to writer Patrik Sandberg, hilariously sounds like “that of a Disney princess…or a phone-sex operator.” She continued, “So, of course I’m so competitive that I think that it would be a huge achievement and a goal that anyone would want. I would love to break that mold.”
“When rap music first came out, people were like, ‘We don’t understand this, what is this, it’s just a fad.’ But rap music is definitely here to stay, and I think reality shows have proven they are as well. But when something is newer, people don’t really understand it.”
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last year, the Walk of Fame’s vice president for media relations said: “Reality stars are not on our radar for Walk of Fame honors… [but] what our Walk of Fame-rs do after they are honored with stars is totally up to them.” Meaning, of course, a star recipient can go on to do reality but a reality star won’t get recognized simply for appearing on a reality show.
Keep hope alive, Kimmy.
