The Packaging For The Nike LeBron X+ “United We Rise” Sneaker Is Ridiculous

If you’re going to pay a couple hundred dollars for a pair of sneakers, they better look like you paid a couple hundred dollars for them. And, we’re not just talking about the sneakers themselves. No, we’re also talking about everything that the shoes come with. From the tissue paper stuffed inside of them to the actual box that they rest in, that $200 or so better be very well spent. Otherwise, what are you really paying for?

Last week, we were critical of the high price tag that’s reportedly going to come attached to the Nike LeBron X+. Most people are saying that they’re going to cost upwards of $300. And, if true, we still think that’s absolutely ludicrous. But, we do have to give Nike some credit. They’re going all out for LeBron James’ tenth signature sneaker. In addition to making the sneaker an absolute monster (if you still haven’t seen it yet, it looks like the LeBron 8 and the LeBron 9 had a baby and fed it performance-enhancing drugs as soon as it was born to create the LeBron X), Nike is also going all out with the LeBron X packaging. Just check out the packaging for the Nike LeBron X+ “United We Stand” sneaker. It’s fit for a king.

As of right now, we’re not sure if this is one of the models that will cost you a few hundred dollars—or one of the ones that’ll only run you a couple hundred bucks. But, either way, we wouldn’t mind getting our hands on a pair of these. We know we said (or, better yet, I said) that we wouldn’t support Nike’s decision to make the LeBron X so expensive. But, if these come in at the right price point, it’ll be hard to keep us away. Check out some more of the packaging below and take a closer look at the sneaker. Pretty crazy, right?
