Photoshop Fail! Lady Gaga’s Vogue Cover Was Shockingly Airbrushed

Lady Gaga may be doing the booty tooch above, the way Tyra Banks intended. But, her booty was nowhere to be found on the cover for the 2012 September issue of Vogue.

The 26-year-old international was born quite different’y than the way she appears on the cover. The pop superstar got a serious digital makeover for the fashion bible where she slipped into an electric wine-colored couture gown by Marc Jacobs for the special occasion. It’s standard for celebrities’ images to be airbrushed and stars’ photos to be digitally nipped and tucked before they are published. But, one look at the behind-the-scenes video below and it becomes apparent that Lady Gaga’s teeny-tiny waist was shaved significantly before it was placed on the cover.

Shot by famed photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, Lady Gaga was thrilled with the results, despite the fact that her waist is almost the same width as her head.

“I’m a cover girl, and it’s fab,” she tweeted. “I’m totally channeling Fozzie Bear.” Check out the behind-the-scenes video below. Is this art—or Photoshop gone way too far?
