The newest edition to Bobby Brown’s family, his wife/manager Alicia Etheredge, was rushed to the hospital on Saturday after suffering a scary seizure.

The 43-year-old R&B bad boy was performing a soundcheck with his group New Edition alongside Ralph Tresvant, Ronnie DeVoe, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Johnny Gil in preparation of their performance at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Fla. that night. According to multiple reports, Alicia was in the couple’s hotel room in Kissimmee, Fla. at the time of the seizure and Brown ran from the stage to the hospital upon hearing the troubling news to be by his wife’s side.

Thankfully, it appears Alicia is doing well after the incident. “The report that my wife was rushed to the hospital is true,” the “My Prerogative” singer tweeted. “She is recovering and is in good spirits and doing well. Please keep my family in your prayers.”

Despite the scare, Bobby took the stage with New Edition as scheduled that night.

Bobby and Alicia were married in June in a ceremony held in Hawaii after getting engaged in 2010. And while the couple were surrounded by friends and family, including Bobby’s children Landon, 23, La’Princia, 22, Bobby Jr., 19 and their son Cassius, 3, Bobbi Kristina, 19, Bobby’s daughter with the late Whitney Houston, was not in attendance.

We wish Alicia a speedy recovery.
