Usher Asks Court To Deny Tameka Foster’s Request For New Trial In Custody Case

If Usher Raymond has his way, his estranged wife Tameka Foster‘s attempt to get a new trial in the custody battle for their two sons will be shut down. The R&B superstar was awarded primary custody of 4-year-old Usher Raymond V and 3-year-old Naviyd Ely Raymond, but Tameka has requested a new trial on the grounds that the judge was biased in the case because of campaign money she received from Usher’s lawyer. In a response filed last week, Usher’s legal team argued Tameka’s motion for a new trial is “an assault on the integrity of the court,” and has asked the court to deny the request. According to TMZ:
“Usher believes Tameka is delusional, claiming if she were granted a new trial, it would be grounds for a reversal of ALL trials where a lawyer had contributed to a judge’s campaign.
Usher claims the motion ‘constitutes a continuum of [Tameka's] vile and unsupported claims that every person who dared testify against her … is biased and tainted.’”
The back-and-forth between these two is just ridiculous! As parents, they should have done the grown up thing a long time ago by deciding what’s best for their sons without involving the courts. One day, little Usher and Naviyd are going to read about this madness.
