American Idol isn’t the only reality TV talent competition that will be adding new faces in their new season. Reportedly, Usher and Shakira will step into the shoes of Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green as coaches on The Voice. The move will take place next spring while Christina and the “F*ck You” singer take a break from the show. According to TooFab.com:

“The network said Monday that original coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will remain on board. The series began airing its third season last week.

NBC says Aguilera is going on the road to support her new album, while Green is developing new music and a sitcom based on his life.”

According to NBC’s entertainment chief, The Voice coaches were left with little spare time after a fall season was added to the show, which was launched midseason.

Personally, the only reason why I ever tuned into The Voice is to see what animal CeeLo would have resting on his arm or shoulder. When he leaves for his break, the show will officially become an hour long borefest.
