Watch Lady Gaga’s Entire Fame Fragrance Film
After months of anticipation, Lady Gaga has finally debuted her groundbreaking Fame fragrance at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC for the debut of the first-ever black eau de parfum in the world.
“I wanted it to be a very slutty perfume,” Gaga said in an interview with Good Morning America. “Because that is sort of the addictive nature of fame that it is, it is seductive. What I like about it for me is I love the smell of apricot…And I love the belladonna smell because it has a dangerous sort of muskiness to it. It’s a plant that can kill you, but also smells quite delicious. And I also really love the honey drops. These are all just things that I really like to eat also. They’re things that I would eat during sex as well as wear, if that makes any sense.”
In honor of the fragrance launch, Gaga also starred in a five-minute mini-film directed by Steven Klein and produced by Ridley Scott. Like the print ad and Fame commercial, the mini-movie features lots of black goop, creepy little men crawling on Gaga’s private parts and possibly even a murder. Oh, and let’s not forget the crazy screams.
At the launch event, Gaga made more debuts, too, showing off her shaved head, a new angel tattoo, and a “Sleeping with Gaga” performance piece. In true Gaga fashion, witnesses described the performance as truly odd.
“Around 8:30 we saw the film,” said a reporter from ONTD. “For another hour we watched her sleep while people touched her while she was sleeping … Then she woke up around 9:30 and pissed in a champagne pail, changed, and touched up her makeup. Then, she got a tattoo of a cherub on the back of her head.”
