Inside Dinner With President Obama, Jay-Z & Beyoncé
What better way to celebrate the beautiful refurbishment of his 40/40 club than for Jay-Z and wife Beyoncé to host President Obama for dinner?
The fundraiser was intimate and exclusive, with tickets priced at $40,000 per head (with 100 attendees, the Carters raised an impressive $4 million for their friend’s re-election campaign).
As the featured guest of the night, the President joked about his similarities with the rapper turned mogul. “Jay-Z now knows, you know, what my life is like. We both have daughters. And our wives are more popular than we are…so we’ve got a little bond there. It’s hard, but it’s okay.”
He also spoke of his relationship with the superstar pair and his admiration for Beyoncé. ”To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship. Beyoncé could not be a better role model for my girls.”
The presidential election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
I don’t like the fact that President Obama considers Jay-Z and Beyonce friends. AND why does he and Michelle think Beyonce’ is a good role model for their daughters when all she does is perform almost naked on a stage grinding and moving about subjectively. Haven’t they seen her perform? How in the hell is she a role model for two young girls! This relationship really disappoints me. I think President Obama and First lady Michelle are more classy and sophisticated to be on the level of an ex thug and a high school dropout who is more famous for her strong sexual performances on stage. I am so disappointed in the Obama’s. I’m a die-heart democrat but he might not get my vote due to this “new” inappropriate friendship. I know he needs the 4 million dollars they collected, but to sell out for the relationship of a rapper that curses and calls women bitches and whores and a girl that sings about sex all the time. Come on Mr. President is this really what it has come down to?
