Chris Brown Tests Positive For Marijuana While On Probation
Chris Brown HAS to be in somebody’s church giving thanks to the heavens above right now. Reportedly, the R&B bad boy tested positive for marijuana recently in Virginia, but his probation will not be revoked. Chris’s drug use came to light during a probation progress report hearing on Monday, and according to TMZ:
“…Brown failed a drug test on June 18 in Virginia, where he was fulfilling his court ordered community service.
According to probation report, Chris told his probation officer he had smoked weed in California — where he has a medical marijuana prescription — and then failed the test in Virginia, where weed is illegal … prescription or no prescription.”
Chris is on probation for his February 2009 assault against then-girlfriend Rihanna. In June of that same year, the “She Ain’t You” singer pleaded guilty to a felony and accepted a plea deal of community labor, five years formal probation, and domestic violence counseling. Judge Patricia Schnegg, who presided over yesterday’s hearing, gave Chris a pass this time around since she did not order him to undergo mandatory drug testing as part of his probation. Nevertheless, she warned the Virginia native that he must not break any laws.
