Pink Refers To Chris Brown’s Fans As “Haters” And “Monsters”

The Olympics might be over. But, we smell another battle brewing. So, let the games begin!

It all started when Pink dissed Chris Brown via Twitter after watching his performance at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards this past May. “One day if I lip sync,” she quipped, “I hope I do it as well as him.”

To make matters worse, Pink’s husband Carey Hart added fuel to the fire by tweeting, “I’m pretty sure I saw my wife did that same performance, but she was 3 months pregnant and actually sang the song.”

Of course, #TeamBreezy fans were not having it and instantly told the “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” singer that she just blows. “With the Chris Brown thing I got death threats for days,” Pink revealed in a recent interview with News.com.au. “My favorite was, ‘I will snatch you within an inch of your life.’ I don’t know how that works exactly, but whatever you want.”

Pink went on to blame Twitter for the severe backlash, noting that fans wouldn’t be so brave if they were face to face. “The Internet has created monsters,” she said. “People that wouldn’t have the balls to say anything in person, but they get a keyboard under their fingers and, well, there’s that saying, ‘Anonymity is a shield from the tyranny of the majority.’ There are so many haters in the world, so many miserable people. It was a joke. It wasn’t even meant like, ‘I hate Chris Brown.’ Twitter brings out the best and worst in people—myself included.”

Clearly, you don’t mess with Chris Brown fans. So, do you think #TeamBreezy went to far—or did Pink forget that freedom of speech goes both ways?
