Producers Of 2016: Obama’s America Blame Routine Box Office Drop On Vast Liberal Conspiracy

Further revealing how Barack Obama and the lamestream media are destroying the country, the producers of the anti-Obama film 2016: Obama’s America have uncovered another dastardly plot– the sabotaging of 2016: Obama’s America.

The Hollywood Reporter states that “the second-highest-grossing political documentary in U.S. box-office history,” which has grossed $32 million domestically since July, saw a drop in box office revenue this week. The article adds that such a drop “isn’t unusual,” especially considering the film was shown on less screens as it stretched into its tenth week in theaters.

Sure it “isn’t unusual”… if you’re a sucker.

Fortunately, co-writer and star Dinesh D’Souza saw through this little ruse. When chain emails and even some politics blogs began incorrectly reporting that Fox News Channel would broadcast the film on Sunday night, D’Souza knew just who was responsible for keeping people away from theaters:

“The reports of the movie appearing on Fox before the election are completely untrue, and we strongly suspect that they are the result of dirty tricks by our opponents who spread this rumor in order to confuse the general public and keep them from going to their local theaters,” said D’Souza.

What a devious plan… to delay moviegoers from seeing the movie for a whole week!

Producers also reacted strongly when the film was posted illegally to YouTube, but it’s unclear if they also attributed this to “dirty tricks.”

While that might reduce box office revenue, it’s also a great way to make sure tons of people see the film.
