Would You Pay $350 For These Jeremy Scott x Adidas Forum Hi Sneakers?

At this point, are you really all that surprised by anything that Jeremy Scott does? The designer, who has collaborated with Adidas on a number of different sneakers now, is known for coming up with extreme designs that make you scratch your head and say, “Really, dude?” He’s put everything from wings to gorilla heads on the sneakers, and you know what? People have loved just about all of them. So, we can’t say that we’re all too surprised by the things he’s tried. And, we expect to see a lot more of it in the future.

All of that being said, we’re not sure how to react to the new Jeremy Scott x Adidas Forum Hi sneakers. For one, the Forum Hi is technically a basketball shoe and Scott has gone ahead and added what appear to be cowboy belt buckles to it. Secondly, the cowboy belt buckles help hold not one, not two, not three, but four different straps across the front of the sneaker. And, lastly, these are currently on sale for the outrageous price of $350. That wouldn’t be that bad if these were a pair of his classic “Wings” sneakers or one of the other limited-edition sneakers he’s worked on. But, for a Forum Hi? 350 bucks? Ehhh…

We don’t think we can get down with what Scott has done to these sneakers. We can appreciate that he’s gone ahead and taken some more chances on redesigning an Adidas classic. But, if we’re paying $350 for a pair of sneakers that aren’t some retro Jordans, we want to make sure we’re getting something really special. We can’t really mess with the cowboy buckles that we see here, and as we said, we can’t see paying $350 for a pair of Forums. What do you think about these? Would you pay $350 for them and wear them out?
