Watch Mitt Romney Debate Himself
After last week’s one-sided presidential debate, many critics of Barack Obama‘s lackluster performance wondered why the president didn’t simply call out Mitt Romney, forcefully when necessary, on his many flip flops and flat-out lies about his stated positions. Liberal blog The Daily Kos found someone more up to the task: Gov. Mitt Romney.
The video shows clips of Romney from the debate, set against past appearances where he directly contradicts himself.
One of the most contentious conflicts of the debate was on taxes; the video here shows Romney stating (at the debate) that he would not cut taxes for wealthy Americans, and in a primary debate stating that he would cut taxes for everyone, “including the wealthiest 1%.”
The video makes similar points about education and pre-existing conditions in healthcare.
Gawker also highlights the website RoboRomney.com. After the user selects stances on a dozen issues, the website constructs a highlight reel of quotes from Romney for each position, no matter what the choice is.
What do you think of Romney’s contradictions?
