We feel for Igor Vovkovinskiy. We really do. If you’re not familiar with Vovkovinskiy, he is currently the tallest man living in the United States. At 7’8″, he towers over just about everyone (just look at the lady sitting next to him in this picture) and he wears clothes and sneakers that would swallow most Americans whole. We also feel for Vovkovinskiy because there’s absolutely no way for him to be a sneakerhead. He wears a size 24 sneaker and, as a result, he couldn’t get most of the sneakers that are released to the public in his size. He needs to get his kicks custom made, which can be an expensive process, so he really only has one pair of sneakers that he wears almost everyday.

Fortunately, though, aren’t the only ones who feel for Vovkovinskiy. Recently, Reebok heard about his plight and decided that they felt his pain, too. And, they decided to do something about it. So, they put together a gang of custom Reebok kicks—about $25,000 worth when it was all said and done—and delivered them to him. We’re not sure which types of Reebok sneakers they laced him with. But, we do know that he looked awfully appreciative when he got his hands on them. Especially when he realized that one pair were outfitted with the team colors of the Minnesota Timberwolves, his favorite NBA team.

Now, we have to ask: Why haven’t the T’Wolves—or, hell, any NBA team out there—tried to snatch up the services of Vovkovinskiy? We’re sure he’s injury prone because of his height and weight. But, it seems like someone out there would be willing to give this guy a chance. Hey, he does have his Reeboks now, right? So, don’t be surprised if you see him balling on a court near you soon.
