Would You Buy A 24-Carat Gold Temporary Tattoo For $120?
They say diamonds are forever. But, who needs diamonds when you can invest your cold-hard cash into some temporary gold jewelry?
Luxury brand Christian Dior just debuted a new line of 24-carat gold temporary tattoos. Created by jewelry designer Camille Miceli, the collection includes cuffs, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and other pieces of jewelry you can place anywhere on your body. Inspired by a 17th century Grand Ball, the Dior Grand Ball Golden Tattoos retail for $120. According to Nordstrom, where the tattoos will be exclusively sold, the “limited-edition collection of precious golden temporary tattoos are extremely limited quantities. The jewel-like creations are made using 24-carat gold leafing. Wear as a finishing touch or a complete look for the ultimate in luxury.”
Ironically, this isn’t the first time a fashion house has created a gold tattoo. Last season, models worked the catwalk for Chanel in chain and pearl body art that later went on the market for $75. Gaze at the glittery gold collection below. Is all that glitters really gold?
