Kobe Bryant’s Eighth Signature Nike Sneaker Is Here

For eight years now, Kobe Bryant has been riding with Nike. And, he’s certainly had his fair share of ups and downs with the company. We mean that literally, too, because after releasing several high-top signature sneakers, KB24 started favoring a low-top sneaker a few years ago. Despite the fact that many basketball players have refused to wear them because of the lack of ankle support that they provide, Kobe continues to wear low tops on the court. As a result, it should come as no surprise to see that the Nike Zoom Kobe VIII is, once again, a low-top sneaker.

Although there aren’t a ton of details available yet, the photo you see here is, by all indications, an official photo of what the Kobe VIII will look like. After all the success that Nike enjoyed with the Kobe VII, it appears they’ve returned with a similar design this year that’s meant to build off of last year’s model. This pair was created using a red/black colorway that also features Kobe’s branding towards the back of the midsole and a bunch of sharp, clean lines running throughout it.

There’s been no word yet about when these will be available or how much they’ll cost. But, it’s clear that Kobe and Nike went with what worked last year when they put these together. We’d expect to see them in lots of different colorways throughout the season, and we’re sure they feature some new technical aspects that make them lighter and more efficient than last year’s Kobe VII. Stay tuned for more details on them as they become available.

Judging by what you see here, will you be copping a pair of these when they drop later this year? Or, do you wish Kobe & Co. would have created something drastically different than what they did last year?
