Britney Spears Wears A Horrible Wig On The Cover Of Lucky & Forces The Magazine To Issue An Apology

Oops, she did it again!

Britney Spears’ style choices have a way of eliciting the same level of debate recently seen between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. Whether the pop star and current X-Factor judge is walking barefoot through a gas station wearing jean cutoff shorts or shaving her head and attacking the paparazzi, Spears’ fashion looks have  sparked many a controversy. So, it’s no surprise that her latest cover of Lucky is keeping with the trend.

Spears’ dons a polka dot blouse, a red skirt, and an adorable pink-bow belt for the December 2012 issue of the shopping magazine. But, the obvious blonde wig someone plopped on the singer’s head had people talking for all the wrong reasons. Fans quickly took to Twitter chastising the magazine for their poor styling choices and for making their beloved Brit Brit look almost unrecognizable. The backlash became so feverish that the editors felt the need to address the comments.

“Thank you all for sharing your thoughts on our cover!” Lucky tweeted. “As always, we will share with our team and we’re sorry to have let some of you down.”

She may wear an unflattering wig on the cover of Lucky, but, inside the magazine, the singer admits there’s one thing she never puts on her body. “I never wear socks,” Spears says. “I hate socks.”

One thing Spears can’t seem to resist trying, however, is all the free makeup she gets in the mail. “I get, like, these giant boxes of lip gloss and nail polish, and it’s like candy,” she admits, although she usally sticks to the basics.  “I really just wear mascara all the time. And, powder, because I have zits. I love Clearasil face wash. I’m old-fashioned.”
