In the nail world, french manicures are timeless, but they’re also yesterday’s news. The new generation of nail technicians are changing the way we look at our hands and feet.

The set of nails above demonstrates the epitome of acrylics. Some people just prefer nail polish or shellac since the application is not as invasive as acrylics. Gels is a happy medium between acrylics and shellac. It doesn’t chip, it’s flexible material, there’s room for artistic creativity, and it’s shiny and long-lasting.

I’ve been getting gels for the past two years and love it. Typically I get a new set every two or three weeks. If your nail tech is up to date with application trends, then there’s little to no damage to your nails.
