Check Out The Nike LeBron X “Ring Ceremony” Sneakers LeBron James Wore On The NBA’s Opening Night
After years and years of falling short, LeBron James finally has a championship ring on his finger. It took him a long time to reach this point. But, on Tuesday night, Bron-Bron, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and the rest of their Miami Heat teammates received their championships rings during a ceremony that was held just prior to their first game of the 2012-13 NBA season against the Boston Celtics. It was a surreal moment for basketball fans, many of whom have watched King James play throughout his career. Finally, the “King” that’s often attached to his name makes sense—and he has a ring to prove it.
To help celebrate the occasion, Nike created a special sneaker for LeBron to wear on the court on opening night. The sneaker is called the Nike LeBron X “Ring Ceremony” and it definitely helped make the event even more special than it already was. As you can see, the LeBron X “Ring Ceremony” features a gold upper, red accents, a speckled midsole, the word “CHAMP” inscribed on it, and a tag inside of the tongue of the sneaker that reads “CUT AND TAILORED TO THE EXACT SPECIFICATIONS OF WORLD CHAMPION LEBRON JAMES.” Yes, that’s right, LeBron haters—”WORLD CHAMPION LEBRON JAMES.”
We’re not sure if this sneaker is going to be made available to public at some point or if the “Ring Ceremony” sneakers were made specifically for LeBron. But, if the sneaker is going to be released to the world, we’ll let you know soon. In the meantime, what do you think about Nike creating a special sneaker for King James for the ring ceremony? And, more specifically, what do you think about LeBron finally winning his first ring? We’re looking forward to seeing if LeBron & Co. can repeat this season. It should be fun to watch.
