Pop Icon Kylie Minogue Debuts Her New Style Book Kylie/Fashion
For the last 25 years, singing sensation Kylie Minogue has been a mainstay at the top of the charts beginning with her 1987 hit “Locomotion.” Now, after 2.5 decades, the singer, who we quite simply haven’t been able to get out of our heads, is invading our closets with the new style book Kylie/Fashion, published by Thames & Hudson.
“This book charts my relationship with some of the most talented people in fashion throughout my career,” says the 44-year-old pop star, who has worked with everyone from Jean Paul Gaultier and John Galliano to Stella McCartney, Christopher Kane and Giles Deacon. “It makes me very proud to see gathered together all the great designers and houses I’ve worked with over the years. Looking through my personal archives has been a real trip down memory lane and it is the fashion that brings back moments and memories of the last 25 years.”
Minogue, who triumphed over breast cancer after a diagnosis in 2005, shares her fashion triumphs with a look back at her most amazing costumes from her worldwide tours and blockbuster videos. “For us, it’s always a pleasure to create something special for our little princess,” writes design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, who designed costumes for Kylie’s past tour escapades. “In the Aphrodite costumes, Kylie truly looked like a goddess.”
Kylie/Fashion hits bookstores on November 19. Do you think Kylie and fashion go hand in hand?
