Rasheed Wallace Wore These Nike Air Force 1 Hi “Blue Suede” PE Sneakers The Other Night
It’s good to see Rasheed Wallace back in the NBA. Although he’s nowhere near as good as he used to be—and although he’s currently on a team that features several guys who probably should have retired a couple years ago—Sheed is a real character. So, it’s good to see him playing for the New York Knicks right now. If nothing else, you know that he’s going to provide a few really entertaining moments at least once or twice over the course of the next six months. Just wait—they’ll happen!
That’s not the only reason we’re happy to see Sheed back in the league, though. We’re also happy to see him because, ever since he hung up his sneakers a season ago, the league has been missing Nike Air Force 1 sightings. Throughout his career, the AF1 has been Sheed’s sneaker of choice, so without him patrolling the post, there hasn’t been anyone left to carry the torch for the classic sneaker. But, now that he’s back, we can once again see the AF1 sneaker gliding up and down the court on a nightly basis.
During the Knickerbockers game against the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this week, Sheed took things one step further by rocking a special pair of Nike Air Force 1 Hi “Blue Suede” PE sneakers on the court. They feature a blue suede material on the upper part of the sneaker, a white Nike Swoosh and white outer sole, and Sheed’s personal logo displayed prominently behind the Swoosh. They were dope and a nice addition to the court every time Sheed stepped out on it.
As we continue to move through the season, stay tuned for more AF1 sightings every time Sheed steps onto the court. If this is what he’s starting out with, we can only imagine the other AF1 makeups he’s gonna pull out of the closet as we move forward. Keep your eye out for them.
