As we previously reported, Cee Lo Green is under investigation because of allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman. The Atlanta singer/rapper is accused of slipping something into the woman’s drink while the duo were having dinner at a Los Angeles restaurant and sleeping with her. Allegedly, the woman has proof of the assault in the form of a recorded conversation between she and Cee Lo during which he apologizes and makes reference to the drug MDMA (Ecstasy).

In response to the serious allegations, Cee Lo is vehemently denying the woman’s story, calling her accusations “despicable, untrue, and deeply hurtful.” A rep for the music star said in a statement:

“Given that the matter is under investigation, we obviously cannot speak as freely as we like. What we can say is that these allegations are despicable, untrue, and deeply hurtful to Cee Lo, his children and his family. We are confident that when all the facts come out, it will be clear that if anyone was victimized here it was Cee Lo. In the meantime, Cee Lo is deeply grateful for the overwhelming support has received from his fans, his friends, and his colleagues.”

Cee Lo, who’s currently a judge on the reality talent competition The Voice, is taking a break from the hit NBC show next season, saying of his upcoming hiatus during a recent interview, “I had a couple of other things that I wanted to be able to do.” Unfortunately, one of those things now includes clearing his name of these nasty accusations.
