The Samsung Galaxy Camera Is An Absolute Beast

Are you thinking about putting a camera on your Christmas list this year? If you are—and if your parents or significant others are into the idea of spending $500 on you for the holidays—then we’ve got a real gift for you. It’s the new Samsung Galaxy Camera and it is, in a word, a beast.

Now, if you’ve already got a Samsung Galaxy III or another Samsung smart phone that runs Android on it, you probably already know what to expect from the Samsung Galaxy camera. It’s a camera that is equipped with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It has the same exact 4.8-inch screen that’s found on the Galaxy S III. And, it’s able to connect directly to any WiFi network and can also connect to AT&T‘s HSPA+ network if you choose to subscribe to a monthly data plan. The actual camera specs are impressive, too. The Galaxy Camera boasts a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor as well as a 21x non-detachable zoom lens. Basically, you’re going to have the ability to take super crazy shots and then post them directly to your Facebook feed, Instagram profile, or Twitter page within just seconds. Like we said, this thing is a beast.

If you’re interested in copping one, you won’t have to wait very long. These will hit stores on November 17 and will be available for $499. What do you think about the idea of buying one of these? With more and more people choosing to use their cell phone cameras these days instead of their point-and-shoot cameras, we don’t think there’s a huge market for a phone like the Galaxy Camera. But, we are willing to acknowledge that if you do want a stand-alone camera, you want one that can do everything that the Galaxy Camera can do. So, this is definitely one item you need to have on your Christmas list this year if you’re interested in upgrading your camera situation.
