Carmen Electra made a name for herself as a successful Playboy bunny and a B-List actress with a recurring TV role on the ’90s hit Baywatch and bit parts in films like Scary Movie, Disaster Movie, and Meet The Spartans. But, Carmen Electra…the singer? Really?!

Before you vomit, you may recall that the busty blonde was actually discovered by Prince as a singer and signed a recording contract with Prince’s Paisley Park Records back in the early ’90s. Now, after two decades, Carmen is ready to return to her first love.

“I’ve had this passion to get back into music,” she told Omg! recently. “I feel very lucky because I’ve been able to do so many other things, and I love that. I need a variety in my life and my career. It’s never boring. It’s been challenging at times, but it’s also been such an amazing ride. Deep down inside, throughout everything, I just still have this passion.”

The 40-year-old teamed up with Grammy-nominated producer Bill Hamel in the hopes of relaunching her dormant music career. “When I heard the track for ‘I Like It Loud,‘ I just knew, ‘This is me, I wanna do it! I wanna go for it,’” said Electra, who collaborated with a producer who has worked with everyone from Madonna and Rihanna to Justin Timberlake and U2. “I couldn’t pass [it] up.”

Listen to “I Like It Loud” below. Do you like what you hear or should Carmen have gone against her instincts and passed it up?
