On Wednesday night, New York’s elite celebrated the opening of G-SHOCK’s flagship store in the United States in Soho. The G-SHOCK store pays tribute to its innovative design and reputable heritage by displaying a timeline of the timepieces released over the brand’s 30-year history. The store offers limited edition collaborative products available only at the shop, as well as current inline models.

The two-level space echoes the unique attributes the brand is known for. The first floor is devoted to the retail space, featuring industrial design elements such as reclaimed barn wood floors, and other industrial–grade materials to act as one of-a-kind shop fixtures. The second floor is used to showcase the current collaborations, all while being utilized as a rotating gallery and event space. Throughout, walls are adorned with art by world-renowned graphic artist and G-Shock Brand Ambassador, Eric Haze.

The space has a street-wear influence with enough elements conveying the toughness and durability the brand has to offer, while creating a perfect environment for fans and consumers alike to experience just what the G-SHOCK brand represents.

Guests celebrated G-Shock’s milestone at a cocktail party held in the store. Notable guests include rappers D. Chamberz, Bill Collector, and Willy Dope of Par-City. Following the store launch, guests and event notables gathered at Little Charlies for an after party event. Notable guests included Russell Simmons, CEO of Casio America Shigenori Itoh, Global Marketing Manager of Casio Tadashi Shibuya, Eric Haze, Lovebug Starski, Kevin ‘Saer’ Leong, Dee & Ricky, Nigel Sylvester, Panama, 40oz Van, Manero, and Japancake.
