Hip-hop has really come a long way. And, this year, even more than other years, really shows the influence of popular culture on the electoral committee for the Grammy Awards.

There are no more nominations for artist or songs that no one has heard of before (like past years). Notable nominees in the rap category include Wale for “Lotus Flower Bomb” and Snoop and Wiz Khalifa for “Young, Wild & Free,” off the Mac & Devin Go to High School soundtrack. Check out the rest of the rap nominees below…

Best Rap Song

“Niggas In Paris” – Jay-Z & Kanye West
“Daughters” – Nas
“Lotus Flower Bomb” – Wale
“Mercy” – Kanye West ft. Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz
“The Motto” – Drake ft. Lil Wayne
“Young, Wild & Free” – Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa ft. Bruno Mars

Our pick: “Niggas In Paris” – Jay-Z & Kanye West
Why: Because it’ll be awesome when they announce the winner and have to fumble with the title name: “N…N words In Paris”!

Best Rap Album

Take Care – Drake
Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album, Pt. 1 – Lupe Fiasco
Life Is Good – Nas
Undun – The Roots
God Forgives, I Don’t – Rick Ross
Based On A T.R.U. Story – 2 Chainz

Our pick: Based On A T.R.U. Story – 2 Chainz
Why: Prefixing the name 2 Chainz with “Grammy Award-winning rap artist” would be classic.

Best Rap Performance

“HYFR (Hell Ya Fucking Right)” — Drake ft. Lil’ Wayne
“Niggas In Paris” – Jay-Z & Kanye West
“Daughters” – Nas
“Mercy” – Kanye West ft. Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz
“I Do” – Young Jeezy ft. Jay-Z & André 3000

Our pick: “Mercy” – Kanye West ft. Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz
Why: Seeing these 4 (and possibly all of G.O.O.D Music) on stage will make our night.

Best Rap/Sung Collaboration

“Wild Ones” – Flo Rida ft. Sia
“No Church In The Wild” – Jay-Z & Kanye West ft. Frank Ocean & The-Dream
“Tonight (Best You Ever Had)” – John Legend ft. Ludacris
“Cherry Wine” – Nas ft. Amy Winehouse
“Talk That Talk” – Rihanna ft. Jay-Z

Our pick: “Cherry Wine” – Nas ft. Amy Winehouse
Why: They will give Amy this one
