Way back in 1982, Nike introduced the first Nike Air Force 1 to the world. Thirty years later, the AF1 is one of the most iconic sneakers ever released. And, guess what? It’s still just as great today and was when it first dropped back in ’82. But, Nike isn’t just resting on their laurels when it comes to the AF1. No, no, no. They’re continuing to push the envelope in order to help the AF1 grow and evolve. And, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the AF1, they’ve made some really BIG changes to their classic sneaker.

Here, you’ll find five different images of the brand-new takes on the Air Force 1. Some, you’ve seen here before, both here and elsewhere, because images of them have been floating around on the ‘net for awhile now. Others might be new to you. But, either way, these are the five sneakers that Nike has chosen to help celebrate the AF1′s 30th birthday. They are called the Nike Lunar Force 1, the Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite, the Nike Air Force 1 Boot, the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown, and the Nike Air Force 1 Comfort. They all still have the basic look and feel of the original AF1. But, they use different materials and slightly different designs to offer up a fresh take on each sneaker.

Which one of the new Air Force 1s do you like best? And, if given the choice, would you rather rock an original AF1 or one of these? Do you like Nike is doing a good thing or a bad thing by tinkering with a classic design? Let us know in the comments section. And, keep an eye out for all five of these sneakers. They’ll be hitting Nike retailers and online shops in the very near future. Let the AF1 celebration begin!
