Nike Has Opened Up A Pop-Up Shop Inside Of The Barclays Center
The Barclays Center—the home arena of the Brooklyn Nets—is the place to be this month. And, it was has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the Nets are on a roll right now and one of the most promising teams of the young 2012-13 NBA season. It also has nothing to do with the fact that, if you’re a basketball fan, you need to take in a game at the Barclays Center. And, no, to the best of our knowledge, there are no must-see concerts taking place inside the Barclays Center between now and December 30 when Jay-Z and Coldplay will take the stage for two nights.
But, there is one very good reason to make your way over to the Barclays Center ASAP this month. Nike just opened a very special pop-up shop inside of the basketball arena to help them celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1. Between now and December 23, the pop-up shop will be open everyday between noon and 7 p.m. and will be outfitted with all kinds of cool Air Force 1 sneakers and gear. Don’t head down there expecting to find Foamposites or Air Jordans, though. The “Pivot Shop” as it’s been called by Nike will feature nothing but Air Force 1 stuff.
So, what are you waiting for? If you live in Brooklyn—or if you’re just visiting New York City for a day or two during the holidays—head over to the Barclays Center and see something really unique. Nike has plenty of commemorative Air Force 1 stuff that they need to sell, and you could be the lucky recipient of it this holiday season. Check out some more images of the “Pivot Point” below.
