American Idol season one winner Kelly Clarkson is planning an idyllic wedding.

The Grammy Award-winning artist and mentor on Duets has just gotten engaged to her beau of a year Brandon Blackstock. “I’M ENGAGED!!!!!,” she wrote on her Twitter account over the weekend. “I wanted y’all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever.”

The 30-year-old Texas native was introduced to her fiancee by longtime friend and country music star Reba McEntire last year. Blackson is not only McEntire’s stepson but also a well-known talent manager in the music industry. “We were just in a room together, and then he came up and said he was from the same hometown as me and I was like, ‘Oh, we’re so getting married’—I was so that girl,” Clarkson said of meeting her man.

Clarkson has not been able to contain her excitement since the proposal, even sharing a photo of the ring with fans. “Everyone has been asking about my engagement ring, so here it is,” she wrote including the photo below of her ring on WhoSay. “It’s a yellow canary diamond with diamonds around it and Brandon designed it with Johnathon Arndt! They did an amazing job! I can’t wait to make Brandon’s ring with Johnathon as well!”

So, will the couple have a huge fancy wedding? Probably not. “Honestly, I’ve never been the girl to plan a wedding,” Clarkson revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “We will totally, probably elope. If we did [have a wedding], it would probably be low-key, but I don’t know. Eloping sounds good.”
