As he gears up for his historic New Year’s Eve show at New York City’s famed Radio City Music Hall, Nas is dealing with an off-shore gig that seriously went awry.

Patrick Allocco is a concert promoter from Angola who says he was taken hostage at gunpoint and held for ransom in December last year because Nas was a no-show for a gig (which coincidentally was also slotted for New Year’s Eve) that he was paid $300k for. Allocco says other local promoters and their “henchmen” kidnapped him because they wanted their cash back.

Allocco was finally released from being held hostage in February this year and he’s now filing a federal lawsuit asking Nas to pay a whopping $10 million for what happened to him during his 50 days captive. He alleges he was beaten, threatened, suffered psychological and physical abuse and lost his home and company. Nas is yet to speak on the situation.
