Happy Holidays to all of you! After 365 days of waiting, Christmas has finally come around again. And, you know what that means, right? Sure, it means presents, food, and family and friends. But, it also means basketball. Lots and lots of basketball. Once again, the NBA has a full slate of games—five total—that’ll air today, and each one is just as good as the next. So, which one should you make time for? After all, you don’t want to be parked in front of the TV all day, right? That’d just be rude. But, it’s probably worth making time for one or two of the games that you really want to see. So, to help you out, we made compelling arguments for each. Use them to plan your Christmas Day accordingly. Happy Holidays!

BOSTON CELTICS @ BROOKLYN NETS (12 p.m./EST on ESPN)

Why You Need To See It: Both teams have been struggling lately, so one of these teams is going to use this game to regain their footing. But, what you really want to see if you tune into this game is Rajon Rondo and Deron Williams dropping dimes all over one another. It’ll be a great way to start the day.

NEW YORK KNICKS @ LOS ANGELES LAKERS (3 p.m./EST on ESPN)

Why You Need To See It: Are the Knicks really as good as they’ve been so far this season? And, conversely, are the Lakers really as bad as they’ve been? A good showing by either team on the national stage could go a long way in proving which of these teams is really a championship contender this year.

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER @ MIAMI HEAT (5:30 p.m./EST on ESPN)

Why You Need To See It: It’s a rematch of the 2012 NBA Finals. It’s LeBron James versus Kevin Durant. It’s the two best teams in the NBA facing off against one another. What else do we really need to say?

HOUSTON ROCKETS @ CHICAGO BULLS (8 p.m./EST on ESPN)

Why You Need To See It: Quietly, both of these teams have had successful seasons so far this year. And, while we’d be much more excited to see this one if Derrick Rose was in the lineup for the Bulls, we’re glad we’ll finally get the chance to see what James Harden can do now that he’s got all eyes on him.

DENVER NUGGETS @ LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS (10:30 p.m./EST on ESPN)

Why You Need To See It: This is like that extra present that you find alllllll the way behind the back of the Christmas tree on December 26. Although it’s probably not as exciting as all your other gifts, you’te going to be happy about it anyway. Especially since it features Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and “Lob City.” What a way to end your Christmas Day.
