Yoko Ono Debuts A Menswear Collection Inspired By John Lennon’s “Sexy Bod”
All you need is love… and some amazing clothes to wear when you are with the ones you love.
Yoko Ono has created a limited-edition capsule collection called “Fashions for Men: 1969-2012″ for Opening Ceremony. The 52-piece line was created with the love of her life, John Lennon, in mind. “I was inspired to create ‘Fashions for Men’ amazed at how my man was looking so great,” Ono said of her late husband, the man credited with founding legendary rock band The Beatles. “I felt it was a pity if we could not make clothes emphasizing his very sexy bod.”
According to the 79-year-old designer, the clothes, which feature lots of interesting cutout suits, mesh shirts, and strategically-placed images of hands and other male genitalia, were originally designed as a gift to Lennon in the summer of 1969 when they tied the knot. “I made this whole series with love for his hot bod and gave it to him as a wedding present,” Ono told Women’s Wear Daily. “You can IMAGINE how he went wild and fell in love with me even more! My sophisticated, tasteful, and sensible friends across the world all scream—we love it!”

I am speechless! I can’t imagine any man wanting to wear this. How truly bizarre! What planet is she from?
