The Next Air Jordan III Retro Sneakers Will Feature The Original Nike Air Logos
Next year will mark the 25th anniversary of the iconic Nike Air Jordan III sneakers. Can you believe it? It’s been 25 years since Michael Jordan first stepped onto the court wearing a pair of the Air Jordan III sneakers, which are now one of the most popular Air Jordans of all time. So, with that in mind, it should come as no surprise to find out that the Jordan Brand is going to be going all out in 2013 with another Air Jordan III Retro release. And, unlike past AJ III retro releases, the next one is going to look a whole lot more like the original release.
As you can see here, the next AJ III Retro is going to feature the original Nike Air logos on the back of them. They are also going to look exactly like the original AJ III. They’ll feature a white/cement grey colorway and a bunch of other small details that’ll make them look very similar to the ones that MJ wore back in 1988 when they were first released. Those who had a pair of these back in ’88—and those who still have them sitting in their closet—will be happy to see that Jordan Brand is taking the AJ III back to its roots.
What do you think about what Jordan Brand is doing here? We’re well aware of the fact that there are some folks out there who don’t like the oversized Nike Air logos on the sneakers. But, we’re also sure that there are some sneakerheads who like Jordan Brand re-releasing these as they were intended to be. So, check out another photo of the sneaker, courtesy of tee_leo, below and let us know where you stand. Expect these to drop sometime in 2013 with more details set to be released early in the new year.
