What Was Your Favorite Sneaker That Was Released In 2012?
2012 was, once again, a big year for sneakers. We can’t tell if sneaker companies are actually releasing more quality sneakers these days or if the hypebeasts out there are just making it seem like sneaker companies are coming with more heat (if we had to guess, we’d probably pick the latter), but this year saw a handful of really solid sneakers put out in stores. Some of them were absolutely impossible to get (see: the Nike Air Jordan XI “Bred” and the Nike Air Yeezy 2), while others were a bit more accessible (you can still cop a pair of Air Jordan IX fairly easily online). But, regardless of whether you’re a Jordan fiend or a New Balance enthusiast, there were still plenty of sneakers for you to choose from this year.
So then, that leaves us with a question: Which sneaker (or sneakers) did you like the best this year? Sneakers like the “Breds” or the Yeezy 2s are the obvious choices here. But, there were plenty of other sneakers that dropped in 2012 that are worthy of praise. Honestly, the resurgence of the Nike Air Flight 89 made me the happiest in 2012. I have a feeling that I’m gonna be wearing 89s a lot in 2013. But, for those who like more exclusive sneakers, the Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” or the Reebok Question might be more your speed.
Below, I’ve put together a collection of photos of some of the most popular sneakers of 2012. As we prepare to countdown to the end of 2012 tonight and ring in the new year, let us know which ones you were feeling the most this year. And, with 2013 set to kick off at midnight, let us know which sneakers you’re checking for in the new year. Already, folks seem to have one eye focused squarely on the 25th anniversary of the Nike Air Jordan III and the sneaker that will be released to commemorate it. But, let us know what else you’re going to be standing in line for in 2013. If 2012 is any indication, the sneaker game is going to continue to flourish over the course of the next 365 days. And, we can’t wait.
