Here’s What The Teyana Taylor x Adidas Originals Harlem GLC Sneakers Look Like

Almost two months ago, Teyana Taylor previewed a new sneaker that she had collaborated with Adidas Originals on through her Twitter account. Although the snapshot of the sneakers only showcased what they looked like from the back, it was pretty clear that the Teyana Taylor x Adidas Originals Harlem GLC sneaker was unlike any other sneaker that we’d ever seen. And now, Teyana Taylor and Adidas Originals are proving that the sneaker is one of a kind by showing off official images of the sneaker and giving us more details about the shoe.

The GLC sneaker (the GLC stands for “Good Luck Charm”) shines brighter than most other sneakers on the market because it has a metallic leather upper that features a bronze snakeskin colorway. That bronze color really pops thanks to the black accents that are included through the shoe. And, of course, the sneaker features the one thing that we did see in the preview photo back in November—a crazy lacing design on the heel of the sneaker that makes this sneaker look like a piece of art. Make no mistake about it: You’re not going to be playing ball in these or rocking them to the skate park. If you wear these, you’re going to be pairing them with something that’s just as funky and fresh as the sneakers themselves.

You won’t have to wait very long to get your hands on a pair of Teyana Taylor x Adidas Originals Harlem GLC sneakers. They’ll be available on February 15 through select Adidas stores for $140. So, what do you think about what Teyana Taylor and Adidas Originals have done here? Clearly, they wanted these sneakers to stand out in a crowd. So, they created something that we think Teyana Taylor’s G.O.O.D. Music labelmate Kanye West would be proud of. But, would you actually pay $140 to wear a pair of these? Check out some additional photos of the shoe below and then let us know.
