If you’re a model, your face is your fortune. So, it’s safe to say that Lisa D’Amato is currently bankrupt.

The winner of America’s Next Top Model All Stars seriously injured her face in Colorado while filming her new indie movie Cowboys and Indians. The 32-year-old explains she was doing a handstand with a crew member when she fell and he somehow landed on top of her.

“We were just kind of monkeying around,” she told People, who broke her nose in several places and cut her forehead, lips, and chin. “It was a totally freak accident. It wasn’t like we were doing back flips off the balcony. I didn’t have the best nose in the world to begin with. It gave me character. Now I have a nice little nose job. I get a super cute nose. Everyone seemed so sad. I looked at my hands. They were covered with blood. That’s when I thought, ‘Oh, my God, what did I do to myself?’ Of course, I started crying.”

D’Amato, who also appeared on the third season of Celebrity Rehab, posted pictures of her face after the accident on Facebook and Instagram to show her progress while recovering.

“So it seems so many got really scared from those accident pics I posted,” she wrote. “They are real but I am recovering very well. So well, that I’ll have no scars and look even better. Thanks to those that have been compassionate with heartfelt words of encouragement. I apologize if those pictures scared some of you, I was not trying to shock anyone but trying to keep it real on what is going on in my life. My life is an open book. I guess I’m a bit of a tomboy—not vanity obsessed so I’m not too concerned about showing the ugly part of life. Truth is—shit happens! But I will be just fine and will jump right back into my career being better and stronger than ever! Thanks for all the kind wishes and concerns. See you in Thailand and the PHILIPPINES this February & will be gladly willing to show off my new Disney Princess face that Dr. Magic said I’d have after healing. Once again, I apologize if I scared you! As you can see I’m doing just fine.
