Jerry Stackhouse Wore A Pair Of FILA Stackhouse “Camo” Sneakers During A Recent Game
When is the last time you saw someone wearing a pair of FILA basketball sneakers during a pickup game? We’re going to go ahead and guess 1995. Ha! No, seriously, FILA has had a presence off the court in certain parts of the country over the last few years. But, there haven’t been many ballplayers rocking FILA in recent years. So, we don’t blame you if you rolled your eyes and thought “Who wears FILA in 2013?!” when you read the headline of this post.
That being said, we wouldn’t be surprised at all if a few more pickup players started rocking FILA sometime soon. That’s because Brooklyn Nets forward Jerry Stackhouse has been wearing them all NBA season long and, from the looks of things, FILA is starting to lace him with some pretty solid PE sneakers. He’s worn mostly all-white and all-black FILA Stackhouse sneakers so far this season. But, during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves this week, Stack rocked a pair of FILA Stackhouse “Camo” sneakers on the court. We’re not 100 percent sure that the “Camo” colorway would catch on amongst players at your local YMCA. But, FILA’s willingness to put out a few more colorways this season might make these a little bit more attractive to potential buyers.
No word yet on when or even if the FILA Stackhouse will be available for purchase—although, for the record, our guess is “never!” seeing as how Stackhouse is basically just a role player at this point in his career—but keep an eye out to see what other FILA Stackhouse sneakers he wears during the season. And, who knows? If enough people ask for ‘em, FILA might just lace the world with one more run of the Stackhouse sneaker. It’ll be just like 1995 all over again. Wouldn’t that be cool?
