Beyonce Takes Over Manhattan In A Behind-The-Scenes Video For Her New Fragrance “Pulse NYC”
Now that Beyonce is a mainstay in the Big Apple—with frequent jaunts to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn with her hubby Jay-Z—the international pop star is hoping to prove that her heart beats to the sounds of the Manhattan. Just days before taking the stage at the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 3, 2013 at the New Orleans Mercedes-Benz Superdome, King Bey is set to launch her new fragrance Pulse NYC.
“I want women to feel sexy, strong, empowered and I want them to feel like they can conquer anything,” Beyonce said of her fragrances on the official website. “When they walk into a room, I want them to feel like they can leave a lasting impression on everyone they walk past.”
Described as a “electric, magnetic, ultra feminine, vibrant, sophisticated fragrance with a boundless energy,” Pulse NYC is the fifth perfume in Bey’s collection, starting with Heat, which launched in 2010, and followed by Heat Rush, Midnight Heat, and Pulse.
“Women always tell me that my music makes them feel strong and confident, and ‘Pulse’ is about finding that inner power,” Beyonce gushed to Elle. “The success of ‘Heat’ was amazing, but why not represent a different side of a woman? Pulse represents the woman I am on stage. When I think about excitement, it makes me think about my heart racing and a pulsating beat—it’s my stage persona. ‘Heat’ represents my sensual side, it’s very spicy and southern. ‘Heat Rush’ is more about the woman I am on my off time, when I’m on vacation.”
