We have to give a lot of credit to Dwyane Wade right now. When he announced that he was leaving Jordan Brand late last year and signing with Li-Ning, we thought, “Is this guy crazy?!? Has he lost his damn mind? Doesn’t he know that no one is going to buy Li-Ning sneakers?” We were pretty confident that Wade was making the wrong decision by leaving Jordan to sign with Li-Ning.

We’re still not 100 percent sold on the idea of Wade inking a long-term deal with Li-Ning, but at the very least, we’ve been impressed with what Wade has been able to do with his Li-Ning Way of Wade signature sneaker. Not only has he created a lot of hype around it, but he’s continued to work with Li-Ning to create a range of different colorways and PE sneakers in order to drum up interest in the shoe.

His latest PE sneaker is the Li-Ning Way of Wade “Team No Sleep.” As you can see, the “Team No Sleep” sneaker features a black upper, a translucent sole, a speckled midsole, and the “Team No Sleep” logo on both the inside of the tongue of the sneaker and on the bottom of the shoe. “Team No Sleep” refers to Wade’s business team and is an idea that Wade started to push after the Miami Heat won the NBA championship last year and he wore a “Team No Sleep” T-shirt to the club. So, the personal touches on this particular pair of Way of Wades show just how invested he is in the sneaker brand.

As of right now, it doesn’t sound like there are any plans to release this specific sneaker anytime soon. But, if you’re interested in copping a pair of Way of Wades, there are a number of different colorways of the sneaker available now. You can also stay tuned, because we’re sure that this will not be the last Way of Wade colorway or PE to drop during the 2012-13 NBA season. Keep an eye out for more coming soon.
