Nike Shows Off The Official Super Bowl XLVII Uniforms and Cleats For The Baltimore Ravens & San Francisco 49ers
One. More. Day! That’s all that stands between us…and Super Bowl XLVII! When I was growing up, the two weeks (or, in some cases, the one week) between the NFC and AFC Championship Games and the Super Bowl were always the worst. They moved by so slowly and all that anyone wants is for the Super Bowl to start! As I’ve gotten a little bit older, I’ve learned to embrace these two weeks a little bit more and enjoy things like Super Bowl media day. But, it’s still hard to wait 14 days to watch the Super Bowl.
That said, we’re almost there! And, because we’re almost there, Nike has finally released a batch of photographs to show us exactly what to expect to see on the field on Super Bowl Sunday this year. No, they haven’t released a prognostication of what’s going to actually happen during the game. They’ve released photos of the official Super Bowl XLVII uniforms and cleats that will be worn by the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers this year. The uniforms feature all of the Nike Elite 51 technology that was incorporated into the regular-season jerseys this year, so there’s not a whole lot new with those. But, the Nike Alpha Pro cleats that the players will be wearing during the Super Bowl this season are brand new and so are the Vapor Fly gloves.
To get a better look at what all of the NFL players will be wearing on the field during Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans this season, take a look at the official images that Nike just released below. What do you think about all of the gear that guys like Ray Lewis and Colin Kaepernick will be wearing? Do you wish Nike had done anything differently, particularly with the uniforms that still look pretty much the same compared to the regular season jerseys and pants? Let us know in the comments section below. We’ll check ‘em out after we get done making our final plans for the big day tomorrow.
